Skylight & roof light

The renovation was carried out in four phases:
Phases 1 & 2: Museum of Art & History - roof area of 4,000 m²
Most of the roofs are covered with zinc, interrupted in various places by large glass sections. The roofs facing the cloister garden are covered with slates; the domes of the library and the rotunda have lead cladding, and the smaller, lower roofs are covered with EPDM.
Phase 3: Autoworld - roof area of 1,250 m²
Both the external glass roof and the glass inner ceiling were restored here.
The external glass roof was insulated and made wind and waterproof. The old glass of the inner ceiling was replaced with new double glass and installed in the existing profiles.
Phase 4: Military Museum - roof area of 3,000 m². The museum remained open to the public during the renovation.
Forzon, on behalf of the main contractor Six from Izegem, is responsible for the renewal of the skylights and domes. We handle the supply and installation of the purlins, the aluminum glass, and the seals.
